Cinema Board to sue Anas over video

Ace investigative journalist, Ana Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger PI stand the risk of being sued by Ghana Cinematography Board for not submitting their video for preview and classification before premiering it.

A Member of the Board, Ken Addy tells Adom News that Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye PI should have submitted the latest video to the board for preview and classification before Tuesday's public viewing.

He explained that Act 76 of the Cinematography Act 1961 that regulates film production in Ghana states that all films must be submitted for preview and classification before being shown to the public.

He said individuals or personswho flout the law, irrespective of their intentions, must be dealt with by the law.

Movie Producer, Socrates Sarfo who first raised the issue on Adom Midday News said the fact that Anas and Tiger Eye PI failed to submit their latest expose to the Cinematography Board for preview and classification before yesterday's public viewing means they have flouted the Cinematography Act.

He said though Anas has been granted immunity from prosecution, it does not give him powers to break existing laws in Ghana.
